Insider guide
Shopping Fashion Valley.
The story
Fashion Valley is Simon's open-air mall at 7007 Friars Rd at Highway 163 in Mission Valley, with more than 200 stores on two levels. Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Macy's and JCPenney anchor it, and the luxury row is on the lower level near Parking Structures B, C and F. It suits a designer shopping trip, with department stores, mid-priced labels and home showrooms around the boutiques.
The Luxury Row
Louis Vuitton reopened expanded in August 2025, with men's and women's leather goods, ready-to-wear, watches, fine jewelry and a La Beauté makeup section. Gucci is next to it and Prada is across from it. Dior faces Cartier and Apple near the Structure F valet entrance, and Cartier recommends booking an appointment ahead. Saint Laurent is next to both Bottega Veneta, known for its woven intrecciato leather, and Tiffany & Co., which carries Elsa Peretti and Jean Schlumberger designs; the closest entrance for that group is Parking Structure B.
The department stores add more designer names. Neiman Marcus, in the north wing, has in-store Balenciaga, Balmain, Tom Ford and Valentino shops and the Neiman Marcus Cafe. Nordstrom, also in the north wing, has Brunello Cucinelli and Moncler shops inside. Bloomingdale's in the east wing carries designer and contemporary fashion, beauty and home, and Macy's, between JCPenney and Bloomingdale's, has a Toys R Us shop inside.
Beyond the Designer Names
Zimmermann sells the Australian label's printed dresses, swimwear and resort wear, Free People carries bohemian women's clothing with a separate FP Movement store for activewear, and Tecovas sells handmade western boots plus belts and leather accessories. Aesop, on the upper level near Macy's, sells plant-based skin, hair and body care.
For the home, Arhaus shows artisan-made furniture and decor with free help from its interior designers, and Williams-Sonoma, on the lower level near Neiman Marcus by Parking Structure G, sells cookware, cutlery and pantry goods. Läderach, on Level 1 between Macy's and JCPenney, has more than 100 Swiss chocolates, including FrischSchoggi bark sold by weight. At Porsche Studio San Diego (Suite 367) you can configure and order a Porsche with a specialist and shop Porsche Design merchandise, and Apple has a Genius Bar and free workshops.
Eating at the Mall
For a meal without leaving, the dining list includes North Italia, True Food Kitchen with its seasonal, health-minded menu, Blanco Tacos + Tequila, Silverlake Ramen for tonkotsu bowls, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar and The Cheesecake Factory near Bloomingdale's. Neiman Marcus also has its own cafe.
