SDSU's everyday shopping is on campus and right across College Avenue. Aztec Shops, the university's nonprofit auxiliary, runs the bookstore, six Aztec Market convenience stores and more than 35 places to eat, and its profits go to student scholarships. Across College Avenue from the Aztec Student Union, South Campus Plaza (College Ave at Lindo Paseo) has Trader Joe's and restaurants. For bigger shopping, the Green Line trolley runs from under the student union to Fashion Valley in eight stops.
The SDSU Bookstore, Aztec Shops' 25,000-square-foot flagship in the middle of campus, sells course materials and textbooks, licensed SDSU apparel and gifts, school supplies, cards and graduation regalia, and its aztecnology department handles tech products and repairs. Everything is also sold online at shopaztecs.com, which is the place to check current store hours.
Trader Joe's (5140 College Ave, Ste 119), in the southeast corner of South Campus Plaza, opened in 2017 and is open daily 8am to 9pm. On campus, the Aztec Market in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union is open Monday to Friday 7am to 10pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm during the semester, and there are five more Aztec Markets around campus. Every Thursday from 10am to 3pm, the SDSU Farmers Market sets up on the north side of the University Library.
